The Freakin' Bears Thread

Its spring and a lot of you have been wondering where is my annual "Freakin' Bears" thread.

For those of you who don't know, I live in the Pocono Mountains and am surrounded by Freakin Bears. Every freakin' spring the freakin' bear come out and get into my freakin' garbage, destroy my freakin' grill, knock down my freakin' bird feeders and just have a freakin' great time all at my freakin' expense.

Here is a small sample of what happened last year...

Mama finds a bird feeder high in a tree and decides the rope won't hold her...

So she sends junior out to do the deed...

Inch by inch he gets closer...

And there goes the freakin' bird feeder!

So there you have it. The camera is ready. Trudi the pitbull is taking up camouflaged positions to head them off. And up dates will posted as they freakin' happen.

Re: The Freakin' Bears Thread

I'm glad we don't have that problem here, we just have Deer, Turkeys, coyotes, and sometimes very rare Mtn lions.
Maybe you need a big bear trap or something, but then i guess what the
heck would you do with it?

Re: The Freakin' Bears Thread

OK, I'm dead meat. Saw two cubs today run through the yard. By the time I grabbed a camera they were deep in the woods, but as experience has taught me they will be back and I will have problems.

Here's what I'll be finding in my trees all spring...

Freakin' bears!

Re: The Freakin' Bears Thread

I have to camouflage the dog first so she can spy on them and learn their intent.
