Temperatures rising
Fever is high
Cant see no future
Cant see no sky

My feet are so heavy
So is my head
I wish I was a baby
I wish I was dead

Cold turkey has got me on the run

My body is aching
Goose-pimple bone
Cant see no body
Leave me alone

My eyes are wide open
Cant get to sleep
One thing Im sure of
Im in at the deep freeze

Cold turkey has got me on the run

Cold turkey has got me on the run

Thirty-six hours
Rolling in pain
Praying to someone
Free me again

Oh Ill be a good boy
Please make me well
I promise you anything
Get me out of this hell

Cold turkey has got me on the run
Oh, oh, oh, oh

That's beutiful, Paul! Whenever I see him, I still to this day get a knot in my stomach at the tragedy of his passing. The world lost a big one that day.

Imagine, what he could have left us if given a full life to do it.

Re: my home in the mountains

People like him are never around for 'the full term' are they? I prefer to appreciate what he did leave us, and to sympathise with those who don't get it.

What I'm saying is, the farthest afield I've been is Canada and Mexico...quite the world traveller, eh? I HAVE to travel the world some day soon, mate...it's just too damned amazing not to. And one of the must visits is your fair land of Oz!
It's safe, accessible and we speak English mate...it's a great place and I couldn't seriously see myself living anywhere else. But you can't do what my Finnish relatives did. They arrived and hoped to see 'everything' in two weeks. They hadn't quite grasped the idea that it's not Europe. The state I live in is the second smallest and it's the size of Great Britain. Western Australia is the largest state and at a guess, I'd say it was comparable to France in size. It's the largest single police jurisdiction in the world. You can get lost here and never be found. There are only 20 million people in a country the size of the continental US not including Alaska. Two weeks?!?!
We all do the fishbowl thing mate but it's good to get out there. Last year I travelled overseas for the first time in thirty years...good to see how other folks live and what they do. It was also good to spread some of my 'first world' wealth to the folks who need it too.

Re: my home in the mountains

Travel is good for the soul in so many ways. The wife and I plan to travel more, even if just the Carribean on a cruise. Most of my work mates talk of their yearly trips to Kenya, or Cambodia, or China....all these extremely exotic and far off locals. Of course, they all make three times more than I do!
