The ammo is 7.62 mm x 51 mm (NATO). A full magazine weighs 125-295lbs depending on its capacity.

It is also capable of firing armor piercing rounds made of depleted uranium.

I know how many rounds an M60 can go through, and it ain't nearly as many as that thing!!

Still, I'd hire on for that gunner slot!

Re: When you really need protection

Thanks, Jim. It worked!!!

Now, if you reside in Brooklyn I wonder if you write something like that off as a "living expense?"

Good gravy Jim...you're a fountain of knowledge my friend! That is so cool...I could really use one of them for the ride to work; I work near 5 major colleges, including the University of Massachusetts and Amherst College, and this puppy would make my life (and commute) so much more pleasant! I'd sing: "One little, two little, three little college kids; four little...." ...ohhh yeah!

Does anyone make depleted uranium 7.62? I know SLAP rounds use tungsten penetrators. But they save the DU for the big guns

Re: When you really need protection

Hmmm, on college kids, may be a bit over the top, but what the heck!
