I agree there are way too many, and I don't watch any of them.

Do the Law and Order series count? I have watched them in the past and an occasional one still provides background noise around here.

Re: What is your favorite television Cop drama?

I love crime drama above all else on TV. Some many I like, a few that come to mind are 'A touch of Frost', 'Waking the Dead', 'Silent Witness' and 'Prime Suspect'.

A recent one with an odd twist was 'Life on Mars' where a detective from 2007 gets run over by a car and wakes up in 1973. He has to get used to some of the more direct methods of police work used at the time ('He fell down the stairs, honest'). A bit quirky and you either love it or hate it but for me it was great to see some of the things I grew up with in the early seventies!

The first seasons of La Piovra was really great but it went downhill rather quick 'round season 4.

The only one I watch faithfully is NCIS. Great cast, and a lot of fun to watch.

I watch Bones and NCIS, good casts and chemistry. CSI used to be a never-miss, but it's getting a bit repetitive. My absolute favorite is The Closer, with Kyra Sedgwick. Kinda Columbo with a huge handbag.
