Re: What is your favorite music group.

Live music in person - nothing comes close to the "experience" of a Grateful Dead concert from back in the day. Best value for the buck back then too. I probably saw them 60 times before Jerry Garcia died.

Studio music - TNTM (too numerous to mention).

I have a few of their bootlegs on MP3. Jerry's one of my favorite guitarists. His steel work on CSN's 'Teach Your Children' is flawless.

I don't like Van Hagar either Freight...It ended when Dave left.
I saw Alice in Chains when they toured in the nineties. They played three numbers, the drummer chucked a tantrum and they stormed off for an hour. They filled the time getting dudes from the crowd to get up and play the guitar, then they came back out, played 'Rooster' and then the house lights came on. Badly ripped off that night!

Re: What is your favorite music group.

I'm pretty eclectic in what I listen to. I can go from listening to Rammstein to Beethoven's 9th to 38 Special to Gregorian chant one right after another.

As far as a favorite single group, The Beatles.

Best music to remodel as house by, Ramones and early Stones. Staccato riffs get the job done.

Re: What is your favorite music group.

I like some music...

Beethoven, Bach, Tykouski (the nutcracker guy?), Mozart, the Beatles, Blues Brothers, Cab Calloway, Charily Parker, John Coltrane, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, Three Dog Night, The Trashmen, Bob Marley, ACDC, Rammstein, Pink Floyd, Santana, Puddle of Mudd, Duke Ellinton, Stevie Ray, Hendrix, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and No Exit.

No one knows who No Exit is....because its a local band.

Before I even get into my favorite bands I gotta say what I gotta say about David Lee Roth. I personally listened to an interview with him taken in 1981, when the interviewer asked him what he thought about John Lennon being murdered he stated "Who cares? He was a worthless has been married to some Japanese chick."
