Re: Tiger II, Power on the Prowl

Thanks LAH. Would have preferred a shot from the front and bit clearer, but they are what they are.

That shot of the Command Tiger is really good Cyberia. Its nice to see some of these photos entering the public domain. I never realised that a command model even existed. One thing thats noticable about some of these pictures is that 1945 had a very cold spring!!!

Now that you mention it, Gott, yeah it must have been a cold one. But I think by spring of 1945 the cold was the least of concerns for these guys.

Re: Tiger II, Power on the Prowl

Ah nice one, the famous tiger 2 from 501ss spzabt. This tiger 2 is the mount of Kurt Sowa's numberd 222 knocked out just before the Ambleve bridge in Stavelot. The numbers were yellow with blue outlines and the camoflage was the hard edged three tone sheme. This is the tiger the Tamiya Ardennes tiger 2 model is based on. I have soem more phots of this vehicle somewhere, i will dif them up for you to look at.
