A great photo of 1 and 3 companies sPzabt503. Believe it or not this is just one of many photo's and propoganda footage taken of the battalion. This was taken at the Sennelager proving ground at Padeborn wherethe entire battalion was on display and then transfered to Hungary. Great photo cyberia mate

And this one i know off by heart becuase i have been researching the panther camoflage, is sPzabt 503 moving to the front in Hungary. There are about another 3 photo's of the king tiger's moving past this panther column. If you look at bothe photo's you will notice that the tiger's have there transport track's on

Damn! Both of those were marked France. Well, LAH, I have learned to trust your judgment on these over others. Thanks for the clarification.

Re: Tiger II, Power on the Prowl

Kurttis Thomas no this isnt the same vehicle however, it is a portrait of a vehicle from sPzabt 503 which the real vehicle in the photograph is from. There is some contraversy as to what camoflage this vehicle was Waldemmar Trojca portay this vehicle as having a base coat of green with yellow bands to the hull and the turret was all yellow with large black stencilled numbers however, being in a city and combat the vehicles were covered in grey fine cement powder and dirt so true identification is hard
