Here's two Soviet tracks: a burning T-20 prime mover and a T-28 that's seen better days.

Wow, is that same tank! How cool is that. Only yours clearly shows the point of penetration.

Re: Scrap Metal-Photo Album of Destroyed Armor

It sure looks like the same tank but the location is clearly different. Where is the building with the partially framed roof? Even allowing for differences in angle and perspective, at least some of it should show in the second photo. Interesting.

Re: Scrap Metal-Photo Album of Destroyed Armor

It is most definitely the same tank. Check out the moss hanging on the barrel.

I agree with Jim, that change in camera angle should have left some of the building with the partial roof in the photo.

Note the outside road wheel second from the drive sprocket. In my photo it looks to be sunk in the mud almost to the hub. In Horch's photo it is completely exposed.

That really pronounced list to the right seen in the second photo is not as steep as in photo one.

My theory is that one photograph was taken after the vehicle had been towed a short distance.

Any thoughts as to which?

Hmmm, I'm still not seeing where the background marries up, but I'll take your word for it.

Re: Scrap Metal-Photo Album of Destroyed Armor

the back ground marrries up if you look at the last 2 fenders and the ground work around it plus if you look really well you can see or just make out a small peice of brush or a tree that sits on the join of the last two fenders and the peice of steel that is visble in the photo graphs has been pushed down hope it helps
