This is interesting. German AP tests on a Sherman with the types marked out.
Looks like they went from a 50mm to 88.

Typically, artillery barrage will only disable a tank by knocking off a track, or mangling the weapons and gun sights.

I would guess that the external fuel tanks on those SU-100s might have been full, to do so much damage.

Also, I see no road wheels or tracks in that pic. That might indicate these tanks have been scavanged from spare parts making them look more buggered then they really were.

That Sherman testing is incredible, am i right in thinking that even the 50mm
went thru?. Boy if i was an allied tanker and saw these results, i'd go AWOL
