Cool shot Bob, I never saw that one.

It appears they liked the the 250 series as well...


An SdKfz.250/9 wears a white star after coming under new management

I will try to find the article it was with, it talked about how GI's put a lot transport back on the road especially when they had none. It goes on about them being from such varied backgrounds and most were mechanics of some sort of other do to backgrounds as farmers and such. The basic drive was GI's were better at this kind of scrouging than the other Allies. I suspect that may have been also due to command atitudes as well.
