Re: Tiger I-One Tough Cat

hm a very tough one cyberia not much to go on defintately an early version tiger probabaly produced before the mid production run. interesting that the hull mounted s-mine launchers are not on the tiger. also intersting that the turret still has them it also appears that there has been additional stowage bolted to the turret bin and it looks like the feifel air cleaners have been removed. it also has the clamp on the front of the hull plate where they shovel was moved to in the mid production run this could also be a feild modification. hm now on the front hull plate near the drivers visor there is brighter white patch slightly visible on the red brown and yellow camouflage at a guess (i cant enhance or blow up the photo to much more than i can the texture is to grainy and i can just make out a rough shape that fits only 1 emblem i know of) im going with spzabt 503 in russia probably around mid to late 43 does any one else want to help out

Re: Tiger I-One Tough Cat

a nice clean example of a mid production tiger 1.this is tiger 323 of the 3rd company 1 ss lah taken in a staging area just before the famous battle at villers bocage. the 3rd comapny took a few weeks to reach the battle as they were not fully equiped. the 1st and 2nd company were already in normandy at the time. this tiger has been well documented with plenty of photos of the tank. this tiger was captured by the british after the normandy battle keep them coming mate

Given the positions of the crew, it was obviously a day when Allied Air Power was not in the skies above them!!!
