hm another easy one this is a mid production tiger 1 a clean example to. this vehicle is 131 of the 1st company 101 lah (same as the previous tiger you posted cyberia) in morigny. it is interesting to note the variations in the darkness and camouflage schemes between the two companies. it also worthy to note the vehicle numbers were painted in olive green with white borders. second company had there tigers numbers painted in red with white borders and the third company had theres painted in pale blue with yellow borders. and lastly the unit emblems were placed in different positions as well 1st company had the unit emblem on the drivers side front hull plate and the shwere insignia on the gunners side of the hull plate both were on a dark grey back gound where the zimmerit had been chiseled off. 2nd company had the unit emblem on the gunners side hull plate on the zimmerit and 3rd company had theres on the drivers side of the hull plate on chiselled out zimmerit both the 2nd and 3rd company did not carry the schwere heavy tank insignia at all. sorry you guys probabaly know this any way and abit over the top i know please forgive me

LAH,

As far as I am concerned, there is no such thing as "too much information" or "over the top" in a post like that. People are free to skip over parts that do not interest them. Please keep the information coming. That's what we are here for, to learn and to exchange information.

Re: Tiger I-One Tough Cat

thanks guys much appreciated im only to happy to help out what i try to post is based on lots of reasearch and history plus for the modellers amongst us this info is gold when i first started modelling i used to build straight from the box and entered a couple of shows to be told by judges that the models were not correct even though built from the box so thats when the quest started for accuracy the more i learnt the more accurate the models became so im only to happy to pass on the info for every one

Re: Tiger I-One Tough Cat

Like I said, we are thankful for it. We are really glad to have you here.

I'm no armor expert (I know how to run the forum software, that's my area of "expertise" here ), but I love reading about it and learning more.

Re: Tiger I-One Tough Cat

Ditto to all Jim said. Personally, I find you back stories to individual tanks and crews fascinating.
