Re: Tiger I-One Tough Cat
no mate the hatch is there it is the black shape on the edge of the cupola it is a little dark so im assuming its becuase of the photo there is no obvious identifiaction that might show an internal fire or explosion that would take the hatch off the hatch for the drum cuploa was heavily bolted down and wuld take tremendous force internally to blow it off. it is strange to see the other 3 hatches closed howver during combat the commanders hatch was left open so that the comander could stick hi head up for a quick look if required hm will have to a bit more looking good find cyberia

Re: Tiger I-One Tough Cat
cyberia a nice photo of tiger 211 from the sSSpzabt 102 and you are correct mate definately normandy. a very good photo showing the use of extra foliage and the broad 3 tone camoflage often seen on this units tigers. this looks like a late version tiger by looking at the loaders hatch and also interesting to note the fuel drums on the rear deck and just to top it off here is a rear view of the same tiger just at diferent part of the road

I love it when we can match up different photos on the same vehicle. And all the great extra info you provide is just the icing on the cake!

Re: Tiger I-One Tough Cat
yeh it is great isnt there is some good detail and infromation here in these two photos for the modellers out there who want to model specific vehicles a model of this vehicle put on top of two photos as a base (thats how i display mine if and when possible) just brings the realism into the model

Re: Tiger I-One Tough Cat
all steel with a smaller rear idler wheel. the smaller idler was 600m in diameter and came into use in february 44 before that the idler was 700mm in diameter and was seen on all previous model tigers the reason for the change was to stop the mud build up between the rear wheels.
