What do you guys think?
Definitely the same tank at the same time!!!

The position of the bow MG is identical as is the location of the square box in front of it. If you look at the black "stain" on the front hull just beneath the box, the shape is very similar on both. The clothing is the same on the men in both pics as well.

It looks like they are applying a winter white wash camo from the bucket in the second photo.

Good eye Paul!

Flatbed cars of Tiger Is during transport-date and location unknown
It appears that every other tank had to swing its gun to the rear for clearance between cars

I had made a note to look this up and just today found the note.

You're close, but it was not "a" Tiger I but rather a group of Tigers (not yet able to locate an actual number).

Goodwood was the first time Shermans faced off against Tiger Is in an actual massed tank fight. It was also the first time the limitations of the Sherman's gun compared to that of the Tiger I became painfully obvious.

The Tigers were positioned undercover on a wooded rise as the Shermans advanced across an open area. The Tigers, with an effective range against Shermans of about 1500 yards were able to out gun the Shermans which needed to close within 60 yards to do any damage.

I found two Allied figures for tank losses which are 413, and 473. However, these figures reflect four days of fighting and not this single engagement.

Figures aside, all accounts are the Shermans took a terrible drubbing crossing the open ground that day. But not due to a single or even pair of Tigers.

This is an incredible number even for 3 or 4 days of combat! This is the equvilant of how many armored divisions?? I didn't even realize that there were that many Shermans in Normandy at the time.
