Anyone recognize the uniform?

I think you're right Paul, at least I know I've seen pictures of a Japaneese contingent of officers looking over Tigers before. I'll see if I can find them.

Surprised nobody noticed the Japanese Army Officers in this picture posted in this thread some time back. The Japanese apparently "bought" this Tiger and gave it as a gift to the Wehrmacht. I haven't seen anything about this Tiger since and the pervious picture is new to me as well.

Great find,

Bob out

I did remember posting that photo, but when I went back top take a look the tank and officer were different, so I was not sure if the two photos were related.

That would be cool. I don't think I ever saw a Japanese officer's winter coat before, so that's why I was unsure.

I posted the photo, that why the ol' brain is foggy on who was in the turret.

Bob, we're both right. My photo is in post #350 and yours is post #461.

Great minds think alike.

Re: Tiger I-One Tough Cat

I have seen or studied most of the tanks in the world and I still think the Tiger 1 is the best looking tank by far. Just from the pictures its a beautiful vehicle but to be standing in front of it or inside would be a great honor. For me at least.
