have you got any more veiws of the panther g command version very interesting the turret markings make it hard to identify i know wiking used the same turret markings on there panther g tanks on the eastern front some of the panzer regimants used similar markings on panther a tanks during italy and early russia as i said wiking is the only unit i have see with panther g tanks and those command markings

You talking about the "I02" on the turret? I've seen the "II XX" on tanks also. Is from a Corp command group as I recall...

yeh your right these tank numbers a for a corp or head quarters group of a unit or division. they were used frequently by various units or divisions. its hard to define which one thats why im loking for other tell tale marks that might give there unit or didvision away

Yah, 800 is the 8th company command tank. The numbers go company, platoon, tank as I recall. I don't see any other markings including a German cross. I guess they didn't need them at that point in the war. Everyone knows what a Panther looks like!

There's a balkenkreutz just above the left shoulder on the foremost crewman.

have you guys noticed the really rough texture the zimmerit has on the panther a tanks of some unit that were in russia makes you wonder if they changed the ingrediants used to make the zimmerit and still kept the same patterns hm
