Seems likely. They must mix sand with some kind of concrete mix I would guess. The sand type and who mixed up the Zimmerit mix would make a difference.

There can't be too many division that had 8 Panther companys to get an 800 tank number. Panther deployment is something worth investigating. I don't think the Heavy Panzer Battalions had Panthers. Just Tiger's and King Tigers.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, I'm working from memory here...

I've seen that picture before n' if my memory serves me this early Ausf. G is indeed from Normandy.

nice photo note the jery can position and the repositioning of the gun rod cleaning tube and having a look at the tanker in the photo i would say whermacht hard to tell if he is ss can really see his collar boards

Information with this photo of a Panther G states "In action in Italy"
But I suspect the vehicle was either knocked out or abandoned

yes your correct cyberia it was knocked out i had another photo of this panther but side on and i cant find it it was a really good photo for showing the three tone hard edged scheme and the faded effect of the camouflage must see if i can find it
