Re: Growl of the Panther Tank

hm as far as im aware skorzney only had the ersatz m10 look a like panther, a few half tracks and a few stug 111's im almost tempted to say that this panther may have been catured by the russians not the americans as stated. many panthers were captured by the russians, repaired and then put back into action they apparently had several battalions full of panther tanks however anything is possible and could very well be right

Yes, you're right in that this isn't American. It's British! 4th Armoured Battalion - Coldstream Guards captured a Panther Ausf. G Fruhe intact n' put it to use against the Germans after repainting it n' naming it 'Cuckoo'.

Allied AFV's used that white star as a common marking in Northern Europe.

Then where's the bow MG on the first? Plus, I think you can see the outline where vision slit was "zimmered" over.

Re: Growl of the Panther Tank

The bow MG is inside. When in use the radiooperator open the port n' stick it out. The first 50 or so Ausf. A had the same front glacis as the Ausf. D, the hull was otherwise the same n' it's only Ausf. G that have a different hull of the Panthers.
