I'm trying to make out what that is above the right side (left, viewing the picture) of the Panther...is that an antenae?

Looks like the crane from an armored repair vehicle (or stand alone) like one that would be used to pull and engine or a tranny.

You don't see very many pictures of Panthers with their Division symbol painted on them. Not really sure why.

And these are rare becuase that is Totenkopf 3 SS you dont often see photograph's of 3 SS. Nice one Cyberia mate i have this one in my collection already.

A steel-wheel Panther paused at the bank of a small river

Information I have not yet been able to cross reference attributes this particular vehicle to Kampfgruppe Peiper during the Ardennes offensive and photographed near the village of La Gleize.

Can anyone confirm or dispel this?

After posting this pic I noticed that not all the wheels are steel, and not just the rear wheel as in the M.A.N. version. A mix match perhaps?
