Re: Need to know if this will tow a gun?
Well, I have read that the 222 was somewhat underpowered even as a reconnaissance vehicle. I also noted both from photos and by pulling three 1/35 kits of 222's off my shelve, that they lack a center rear hook, necessary for towing.
With all of the above in mind, I would have to say no. Than again, the Germans were quite adapt at putting vehicles to work in roles other than their intended purpose. They were also notorious for field modifications. That said, I would not rule out anything. I guess this is what you would call a multiple choice answer.

I agree with Cyberia. The 222 would have a real problem with the weight alone. Let alone trying to stop when going down a hill (that might be a nice diorama - ' I told you so ' or something like that).

Re: Need to know if this will tow a gun?
The 20 mm KwK 30 or KwK38 L/55 guns on the 222 had a elevation range of -4 to +87 degrees which allowed them to be used for AA. Therefore, it would be unlikely that they would need additional AA support in the way of a towed AA gun. Likewise, since the mission profile for the 222 was generally recon, any towed equipment would interfere with that mission.
On the other hand, the engine was a Horch 3.5 or 3.8 Liter motor (not sure on the horse power) which is good sized so, in principle, it probably had the power to tow things if required. That said, I would rate the towed gun concept as possible, but unlikely.
