I think that it's an 5 cm PaK 38 (L/60) that have been mounted on a field modyfied PzKpfw IV Ausf. D. in order to get some AT firepower.

damn sorry guys nice one mccoy i stand corrected it makes you wonder why they didnt use a pak 40 they had i higher muzzle velocity than the pak 38 i spose use what you have at the time

LAH, you have some cool and unique stuff. Why not start a thread on hybrid panzers? You can reuse some of the shots you already have posted, and others can add in their own. Should make for an interesting study.

This field modification probably took place in the fall '41 before the Pak 40 entered service.
