Spot on, Tom!!!.

A.K.A the Feuerleitfahrzeug that towed the launch platform and via cables controlled the firing.

The odd shape was to help deflect the blast wash as it hit the vehicle.

That's certainly a strange one, Bill. Great find!

Re: Stranger Than Fiction Armor

According to the caption, this was a Soviet tank, built by a tractor factory before full scale tank production began.

It just needs a blade in front. A couple odd balls there Wustenfuchs! Where the heck do they end? Personally,I hope they don't!

Looks like something made up from a parts box. Another good find Bill!

Re: Stranger Than Fiction Armor

I've never seen a "tank" like that before. Is that a real gun or is it just for show? I can't imagine that it would be much good for any military use at all.

Re: Stranger Than Fiction Armor

In practical usage, probably not much more than a self-propelled AT gun. It sure ain't much in the 'looks' department, but probably easier than trying to tow it. Better crew protection, too.
