Re: Stranger Than Fiction Armor

If I had to guess, and I am. Built for training purposes only, that "gun" can't be functional. IMHO

I think I agree. Eisman had it right also. It just don't look functional.

That's clever. Put it on wheels so the tracks never wear out.

Not to be out done by the Luftwaffe's mistel project of an FW190 connected to a high explosive laden JU88 the Panzerwaffe starts it's own research and comes up with this prototype.

I know what this one was for. Camouflage method to confuse air units which still allowed the vehicle to be mobile. All you needed was a car that covered 2/3 of the main vehicle and one idiot to sit on the car and look innocuous. The project was dropped in 1945 as someone realised they didn't have any cars big enough to cover 2/3's of a Tiger II and they were running out of available idiots - there was one in a bunker who would have been perfect but he said he was busy with other things.

Okay, okay.......

In an effort to keep up morale Hans and his buddies set up a 'home brew' kit as a mobile vodka supply, on the premise that the winter chill is only cold if you can feel it.......
