Sleigh riding anyone?

This is a NKL-26 Russian Aerosan. It was made of plywood and had a 10mm plate of armor in the front only. It was armed with a 7.62 machine gun and powered by a M-11G aircraft engine.

Re: Sleigh riding anyone?

Good lord! I can't believe there is a '0' for this picture. Is it stupid or something? What gives? I didn't make it up. Somewhat stranger than some I've seen.

Re: Sleigh riding anyone?

OK, that is officially the oddest looking WWII item I have ever seen!

Want a model of an armed one? http://www.udisco.com/hobbies/pics/007211.jpg or http://www.udisco.com/hobbies/pics/007230.jpg ?

Dark Roasted Blend: Unique Soviet Snowmobiles (read that article, and it mentions a "rare off-road model for youth!" As opposed to an on-road sled?)

The Russian Battlefield
