Battlefields in Italy

As a new member here, thought I'd share a couple of photos from one of my regular trips to the WW2 battlefields in Italy.

First, the American Cemetery at Nettuno.

Re: Battlefields in Italy

Polish Memorial on top of knocked out Sherman, near Monte Cassino. Up until a couple of years ago the tank still had it's .30 cals!

Hope these are of interest?

Re: Battlefields in Italy

It's pretty amazing it's still there after 65 years! The only reason is that it's miles from anywhere. Below you'll see it not only retains it's original paint, but also it's registration number!
