Japanese Peace Monument dedicated to the American and Japanese that died on Attu Island, Alaska. Interesting to note that it is made entirely of titanium (weather resistant).

I know only that the memorial referred to is in England, and that this is an example of wars sad ironies.

Here's something noteworthy. During the occupation of France the Wehrmacht posted honor guards at the American and other Allied WW1 cemetaries for flag raising (yes Allied flags) and general maintence.

War memorial dedicated to the Pracinhas- Brazilian soldiers, airmen and sailors that fought in the Atlantic and on the Italian front in WW2.

Soviet War Memorial, Riga. It was to be destroyed by the Latvian government but pressure from ethnic Russians preserved it. That said, all Russian writing has been removed. Crappy pictures mine.
