On my instructions that rear hatch is glued on but I think it was fairly thick plastic where it fitted in. Maybe that's why it was replaced.

Okay so he's gone for scale thickness. That makes sense. Thanks MAGNA, I was hoping you'd be able to shed some light.

Re: Kunihito's Jagdpanther Ausf. G2

My question here is regarding the interior. Is a lot of it scratchbuilt or can you get that sort of thing from Verlinden etc. ?

Re: Kunihito's Jagdpanther Ausf. G2

I'm not sure if that specific interior is available Verlinden or otherwise, but that kind of thing can certainly be found as aftermarket kits...I have some Tiger 1 interior kits...there are seperate kits for engine compartments, fighting compartments etc...I think you need three sets for the Tiger 1 but don't quote me on that. I have two...both engine/rear deck area stuff.
I think this one is largely scratch built. I looked at the edges of some of the ammo storage racks and saw the tiniest hint of 'untidiness' that tipped me off. I actually think it's a mix of scratch and kit parts...maybe from various kits. The gun breech looks like kit bits.
You'll have plenty of luck getting interior kits for the popular vehicles. Panthers, Shermans, Tigers, T-34s etc. Good luck trying to find a Matilda or something less 'sexy'.
There's a lot of kit-bashing here. I think I see styrene of at least four colours indicating four kits. Plus scratch-built stuff and aftermarket gear as well.

Well whatever he's been up to it is an excellent job.

I know what you mean about the availability side of things too. I suppose it comes down to how popular each kit is. The types you mention are sure to sell well.

Oh yeah! I'd sure love to have a resin interior kit to my ongoin M13/40 as it's such a cute little bugger n' I'd really love to have the sidedoor wide open on it to show off all the goodies but no, it's not that popular. A wet dream would be if Dragon or Tristar made one with complete interior, now that would be a kit to put on top of the wishlist.
