Dr. Shige's Char B1 bis.

Here's a nice one by The Good Doctor. Something a little different too.
Tamiya released this kit only within the last two years or so and by all accounts it's a beauty. The magazines were all over it and I must have read around five different reviews. The aftermarket folks were also pretty quick with tracks, a crew and some other items too.
The Char B1 bis was a pretty good armoured vehicle for its time. Despite its design showing heritage from the previous world war, there is one account of a single B1 sustaining 110 impacts from German forces before its destruction. This one tank was responsible for the destruction of 17 Pz. III and IVs.
Enjoy.

As I seem to say with all this man's work, the painting is excellent and the figure posing / placement enhances the whole thing beautifully.

Lookin' good indeed but it seems way to strange with the French tanker emergin' from the engine hatch like it's a crew hatch...

Perhaps the idea was that he was hiding in there hoping to avoid capture? I imagine it would have been pretty hot in there if the engine had been on in the last couple of hours.

Excellent point McCoy...I hadn't noticed that. Makes me wonder though...this guy is usually pretty switched on...seems like a pretty basic mistake for a modeller like this. I wonder if he knows something about this vehicle that we don't?

Perhaps he was going for his croissant stash.

Can you think of a better spot to hide? I mean, who would normally look in there, LOL!

Wasn't the Char B1 also known as the Bison? I seem to remember that from my research. Funny, I never even saw this little beast until I pulled one out of an Axis & Allies Minatures Booster Pack...it's a nice looking tank.

Re: Dr. Shige's Char B1 bis.

I thought the Bison was a US amphibious landing vehicle used in the Pacific. Or am I thinking Buffalo?
