Big German Gun

The Doctor again, (does this dude ever sleep?!) this time what looks like a heavy artillery piece. I really like models of guns both direct and indirect fire weapons...they're different and less often seen. Maybe somebody can clarify what this is. I suspect the kit is a Cromwell all resin edition but I don't know.

Re: Big German Gun

It looks like a 21cm Morser 18. A large piece for field artillery and hard to transport. A hard hitting piece though.

Re: Big German Gun

Wow that's a big one! How did they move them? The Sdkfz. 9?

Re: Big German Gun

That could be the case. I doubt much else would have moved these things.

Re: Big German Gun

I'd love to build one of these things. I like artillery pieces...they make for something unusual in the collection.

Re: Big German Gun

I did find a reference to the kit you posted. I think it is resin and pricey but it does look good. I will make a 1/35th Flak 36 one day.

Re: Big German Gun

Is it a 'Cromwell' kit by any chance?

It is an interesting piece. It may be Cromwell.
