Re: Tips and helpful suggestions

Kush or Hush? Never heard of Kush but Hush I saw live (man back in the 70's). I didnt make models then....always found them to be a bit stuck up for my taste
I am still amused by that and I would love to have been there when he told you.

Nahh...it was Kush, to rhyme with bush.
He'd spent his whole life as a muso so had no other marketable skills. It was a funny place to work mate. We also had a guy who'd played in The Angels AND Skyhooks. His favourite sentence was 'Do you know who I am? when he wasn't getting his way. My favourite answer was 'No'.

that as the experimental bit. mixing colours and types to get varying tones without highlighting or shading. There are variations of Humbrol, Tamiya, and artists acrylics on that one.

No kidding.
The pic is pretty small mate. I'll need to work out how to post pics like that.
I always liked "Use Happy Tweazers to......" never failed to cause me to lose it.

Re: Tips and helpful suggestions

Try this one from the instructions for a woodworking router - you know the ones - 10000 revs and two hands to guide them. So the manual tells me this is important;

"Do not use as a dentist drill".

A router ? And I was just going to cap my sons teeth for him too. Lucky I read the manual.

Beautiful. But you could always do what I do...I've had a running 'joke' with my friends for a few years now. I say they can save money on any surgery they need...they get a quote and I'll do the same procedure for exactly half price. sure, surgery is different to dentistry but there's nothing to stop you whacking up a shingle mate.

Really??? and all this time I thought meat was actually a type of vegetable.

I won't go near the subject and comment on this one

Hmmm...."Keep out of children", thats good advice when using the knife.

Errr...no thanks, its not the kind of meat I eat.

Ahhh.... that feels better. Thirsty anyone?

Re: Tips and helpful suggestions

FLESH MEAT. I like that one.

Suggested to my son that we try the router as a dentist drill so I can use the savings on more wargaming models. I even suggested the possibility of an Ipod nano. He wasn't keen at all. Now I have to buy a chainsaw - need to get him down from the tree.

This is going to cost me now - the chainsaw and the dentist.
