Re: Driil Bits Question

I got my drill set in the mail with my airbrush....man, these are the tiniest drill bits I've ever seen! It came with a pin vise, too, so that's cool! I'll be giving them a workout very soon on a biplane, so I'll let you know how it works out!

Are #80 the smallest out ther, BTW?

Re: Driil Bits Question

Looked it up at lunch today...appears #80 is the smallest.

Re: Driil Bits Question

I don't know what dimension a #80 is. My smallest is Ø 0.3mm n' I'd sure like to have some even smaller.

Re: Driil Bits Question

#80 is 0.343 mm (or 0.014 inches for us yanks), so that's probably what you got there

Re: Driil Bits Question

Mine is actually Ø 0.3mm 'cos I've meassured it with my caliper. So that answers your question if there's any smaller than #80 but it's just by a tad smaller.

Re: Driil Bits Question

I've got some really tiny ones...my Dad's old tools, but the shanks are so thin I don't have a small enough chuck...I don't know how the old man used them.

Re: Driil Bits Question

I'm pretty sure that my Tamiya pinvise is able to handle 'em. I've got two doublesided chucks to it.
