Excellent Figures by 'Alpine'
Not talked about much I suppose but figure painting (to me) is an art by itself. As we all know, a good figure can be the icing on the cake for a vehicle model. They can be used to tell a story or make a point. At the very least, they lend a sense of scale and size to a vehicle. To my mind, the figures available today are far, far better than they used to be but natural, fluid figures are still few and far between. However, there are some excellent figures available and 'Alpine' from the US make exceptional examples. Here's the single set I own. They're all resin figures, come with a choice of heads for each one and assembly consists of attaching arms and head. That's it. It's a shame my photography can't show better detail as these are beautifully sculpted and moulded.

Part of the appeal for me is the amazing painting done for the advertising shots. Whoever paints for them is a master.
Looking at the pics I posted above, it's clear that I should have taken them out of the plastic bags. I'll get new pics and post 'em.

Those are excellent figures Geek. I looked at the site and the pictures there are superb. The only other manufacturer as good is probably Resicast but I think if you want variation you have to buy the bits seperately.

Whiterook - WWi figures are available from Revell or you can get them through HAT. They also have guns etc. An A7V tank would go nicely too.
