Am a member of similar forums dealing with WWII and Germany (e.g., feldgrau, axishistory, etc.), though I am impressed by the wealth of images and pictures here. It's always a treat to find a new website like this when browsing the internet.

I enjoy playing WWII computer strategy simulations such as Hearts of Iron (1 & 2) and online forums such as this are an excellent repository of detailed information useful for (re)building such games, though I also often find myself poring through them just out of simple curiosity (e.g., why German submarine warfare peaked and declined, etc.). Also good place to meet others with similar interests and obtain useful book recommendations, references, etc.
The Internet and forums make all of this much easier, especially when one realizes how many of us are scattered across the globe!

Greetings latvian and welcome aboard.
Rest assured there is absolutely no axis bashing to be found around here, just a bunch of people who see WW2 as an historical event...it's really friendly and inclusive (so I've found anyway...).
As an Aussie, the New Guinea Campaign (especially aviation) is pretty interesting for me too. I hope you enjoy it here.
Peace.
