The Latvian
Hello all,
I am a big fan of WW2. Many of my uncles fought for the German side and I am interested in researching their war records. Any thoughts? Also, I am a big fan of the New Guinea Campaigns (although not necessarily Mac). I am very please to read previous posts. There are a lot of interesting discussions. |

Re: The Latvian
Greetings to Latvia! Welcome!
I hope that as you learn more about your uncles, you share it with us! That is something most of us would otherwise never get to learn about.

Interesting wesbite
Hello - new to the site and am still browsing through it.
Am a member of similar forums dealing with WWII and Germany (e.g., feldgrau, axishistory, etc.), though I am impressed by the wealth of images and pictures here. It's always a treat to find a new website like this when browsing the internet. I enjoy playing WWII computer strategy simulations such as Hearts of Iron (1 & 2) and online forums such as this are an excellent repository of detailed information useful for (re)building such games, though I also often find myself poring through them just out of simple curiosity (e.g., why German submarine warfare peaked and declined, etc.). Also good place to meet others with similar interests and obtain useful book recommendations, references, etc. The Internet and forums make all of this much easier, especially when one realizes how many of us are scattered across the globe! candrews9227 |
