Re: New Kid on the Block

Thanks guys...I'm very impressed with what I've seen here. I'm so glad to be a part of this community. Yes, I was wondering where some of you had gone too, and I think it's so cool to be able to join you here.

I figured out how to get my Avatar up this morning. I was using the Edit function, which wasn't working, and figured out I needed to use the other option. Too funny.

Hi Tom...glad to hear you'll be heading east this summer. I'm originally from north Central Massachusetts. What part of SE Mass you heading to?

Oh yeah very nice part of the state. I think I marched a few parades (Drum & Bugle Corps) down there back in the day. So close to Rhode Island and the Cape, it must be wonderful in the summer for visiting.

I lived in Boston and the northwest 'burbs (almost as far as Nashua, NH) for 18 years. We visit about once or twice a year.

Boston is a great city, but those darned cow-path one way streets with no signs are a killer. I can get into Boston, and make my way around, but every time I leave, I get stuck in some God-aweful loop and end up on the wharfs...every time!

Nashua is a great city, too...home of the Spartan's Drum & Bugle Corps!

Aye! While it is interesting to see cobblestones that Paul Revere and John Hancock may well have walked on, if you don't know where you're going, EXACTLY, then just park and take the T!!! All those one way streets, it's amazing anyone can ever get out of the city!!!

Re: New Kid on the Block

The One-ways are dangerous, too...with all the congestion and narrow streets, it's easy to turn a corner and see oncoming traffic heading for your grill! I did that once when going to college, and flew immediately into an alley.....I'm not sure how I kept my side mirrors on the doors; my date about pee'd her pants!!!!
