Yes it is. I found myself thinking about the site last night...but not in the same way I used to think about the other site. Things are different over there too but here's a short example of what I'm talking about.
I was having a fairly civilized discussion with two guys I don't usually engage with over there. We had different opinions about a certain issue, but the conversation was cool. People were conceding points, admitting that they didn't know everything and generally being gentlemen. That's cool. Then along came one of the usual suspects...butted in and ruined the whole thing. So far, I haven't seen a harsh word over here and I'm very impressed by that. I'm cool with different opinions and ideas...I'm not cool with rudeness and disrespect...especially when the only contribution to the thread was just to tell me I suck.
Peace.

Re: Greetings from Lemm

Thanks Dave...the more violent the better with T&J. Damn Hanna Barbera to hell for all eternity for ruining a cartoon classic. Funny, I grew up on this stuff but it never once occurred to me to hit anybody with a frying pan. Maybe it's me.
The vibe is good here, the company is good too... I've been back once or twice but I feel dirty going back there.
Glad the mods like a tight ship and since a couple of the mods are pals of ours, at least we know what the standards are. I'm not interested in rocking the boat anyway...too much fun.
Peace.

Differences are bound to arise. We're human. A level of respect is expected. If someone comes here to brawl they will be invited to take it elsewhere. Can I prevent 100% of it? No, I'm sure that I can't. But there is a button to report a post if it's offensive. And the moderators all know that what's best for this place is for it to be a place to exchange info, debate at times, and to have some fun doing it. People have emotions, and when they flare that's the time to walk away from the keyboard. I wouldn't want someone coming into my house and pissing on my rugs. Same here. Treat it like it's a place that you are visiting and behave accordingly.

See above. I'll do my best to keep it civil.
