Greetings from Ireland

Hi guys

My name is John,

I'm interested in WW2 German Tanks. I've returned to modelling them after 30 odd years. I'm looking forward to hopefully being able to ge help with specific tank, unit details etc...
I'm also interested in photography and my passion is taking pictures of wild tigers, so you can see there's an association between German tanks and the wild cats that's been there for many years.
I also follow Formula 1 racing.

Hi John and welcome to the site!

We have some serious German armor experts here, as well as some serious model makers so you've come to the right place.

I'd also enjoy seeing some of your photography, if you are willing to share.

Re: Greetings from Ireland

Hi Jim, McCoy

Here's a picture of one live Tiger taken late October 2006.
He also featured in BBC wildlife program recently about tigers. This kitty was only about 2 years old at the time.

Thumbs up Re: Greetings from Ireland

Howdy John and welcome to the Zone. What kinds of armour are you into? More of the "heavy" (Mause, T II, Jagdtiger) or the "everyday" ones (Pz IV, Pz III StuGs and such).........

Cheers, yep, what jim posted, you will find a good home here and a great group of people, just check the chat room once in a while. I've ben a bit busy lately, but it is usually pretty fun!! (think late-night). OOPS, depending on your time zone that is.......

Re: Greetings from Ireland

TRDG, I particularly like all German Armour named after 'big cats'. The Panthers, and Tigers really impress me, the bigger the cat the more I like it. They're engineering marvels, maybe not the most practical tanks, but they have the WOW factor. I'll check out the chat room soon.
Thanks for the welcome Hagen, nice to be here.
John
