Greetings from the Great Southern Land
Hi all,
I’m glad that Magna put me on to this forum, lots of great info/pics & ‘grownup’ people. A bit about myself. I’ve been a wargamer, off & on, since primary school (back in the ‘70s) playing mostly Napoleonic, & WW2 with the odd bout of US Civil War or Naval games. I enjoy making & painting models, although painting up a regiment of ‘Red Coats’ can get a bit tedious, generally for use in games at 1:72 scale. Recently I have been doing a lot of terrain building & have had to learn some new tricks to do it. I am interested in history & military history right through the ages. I’ve collected a few books on those subjects over the years & would rate reading as another of my interests. I like my computers & PC gaming, mainly Strategy/War-Games (do you count RTS as strategy?) but will jump in a tank or tote a Light MG in a FPS occasionally. Usually coming off 2nd best online, except when menacing infantry whilst in a tank playing Battlefield (BF1942 or BF2) ![]() Magna & I are old friends & have resumed our war-gaming in recent years, thanks to permanent venue & the return of some mates. I must admit that I have been ‘lurking’ here for a few months, looking at Dave’s battle threads & others with interest. Cheers, Mitch… Last edited by Avon_Ulysses; July 5th, 2008 at 04:26 AM. |
