Re: Servus!

Welcome to the Zone Katerina!

I think that we need some translation here but as I gather it with my non existent German skills is that she's researchin' the German Red Cross in WWII n' onwards.

Re: Servus!

Wilkommen, Katarina!

Ja, McCoy, I gathered that as well. Gotta look up one of her words, but it sounds like her English is about as good as my German!

I don't think we have much on the DRK, though, do we?

Re: Servus!

Rough translation:
Hello! I am Katerina Osadtsa. She is not good with English. She hopes to find information on the German Red Cross and is very thankful for finding the forum.
I think she also thanks us in advance for information we can come up with.

Sadly all I can use is a translator and naturally thats not a good source of German. I do have a German friend with a great grasp on English and isn't bad at translating for me. I just don't want to bug her constantly. But lets see where I can get us.

This is done with Yahoo Babelfish which is great for getting a very rough idea of what a site says, but I know its conjugations and such are off for sure, they usually always are.

Hallo Katerina! Begrüßen Sie WorldWar 2 Zone! Wir können Ihnen mit Informationen über das deutsche rote Kreuz helfen, aber keine von uns sind am Deutschen gut, ist dieses ein Übersetzungsprogramm und es übersetzte vermutlich falsch. Ich kenne nur wirklich grundlegendes Deutsches. Aber Wilkommen!

((Hi Katerina! Welcome to WorldWar 2 Zone! We can help you with information on the German Red Cross but none of us are good at German, this is a translation program and it probably translated wrong. I only know really basic German. But welcome!))

Katarina, we try very hard to be friendly.

We will never criticize your language errors, but if you'd like, we can try to help when we can!

Re: Servus!

Well its not really her language errors, just the translators aren't always good at picking up on dialect, slang, or homophones/(the other ones that are written alike but mean different). But I think all of us here can figure it out if it mistranslates.
