Interesting New Stuff from Hasegawa.

These two are due for realease soon by Hasegawa...at least soon for Australia...they may already be available elsewhere. They're based on 'Bioshock' by X-Box. The rumour is that around eight different kits will be released and to my mind, these look like a scratchbuilder/super-detailer's paradise. Man, you could do literally anything with these and nobody could count a single rivet. I'll warrant () one could get a stunning model out of one of these...assuming you can cross the sci-fi barrier. I haven't yet but I'm open minded. These, especially the first one, look awesome.
Peace.

That's some wild stuff! I have seen the games ads but I haven't seen the game. I really figured they would have already done this with the "Halo" stuff by now (Or have they?)

I don't know mate. My ignorance of the console world is 100%. I hope so though...I've decided I will get one of these and really 'free form' it. With subjects such as this, there are no limitations.

That's so true. Like what folks did with the "Babylon 5" tv show fighters. They (not real sure what company, maybe Revell) made models of those ships and FSM had a big run of pics of what folk did to their kits.....some of them were painted up fantastically!

Re: Interesting New Stuff from Hasegawa.

I've seen a bit of sci-fi stuff done well but I always felt that these kits could be taken further. I guess being totally unfamiliar with 'Bioshock' as a game, I'll be unfettered by pre-conceived ideas. There's any amount of additions that could be made and they can be meaningless eye-candy on a subject such as these. I have some funky 'nose-art' ideas and also some 'hyper-weathering' too.

You could choose any setting you like with these too. No limits really. I can see the second one after time warping to wrong place having a 'What the..... " moment as he comes face to face with a Panzer IV or something.

Now that would be a contrast.

Re: Interesting New Stuff from Hasegawa.

If somebody like Dragon released the major WW1 tanks in 1/35...I'd build every one of them!

Re: Interesting New Stuff from Hasegawa.

I've recently learned that the Hasegawa sci-fi stuff is quite big. 120mm I think.
