Sopwith Camel

Here is a Sopwith Camel i've just finished for a group build on another site. it's only taken me 9 days to build it.

That looks like 1/32 to me JJ. What a beauty mate...I love that aircraft. What kit is it?

it is a 1:32 scale nick. it's a hobbycraft sopwith camel 'le rhone'. it's a really nice kit although you do need to have a bit of experience in model making to build it.

Nice work on the Sopwith mate! The thing with Great War planes is that even in 1:32 they don't get too big 'cos they were really small back in the day.

The guns don't look right though. I would pain't 'em black with a hint of dark blue in it.

i looked at pictures of the guns and i painted them in gunmetal grey with highlights of aluminum. thanks for the tip mate, it's much appreciated.

Thanks for the info. Did it come with a rigging diagram...or at least some indication of where the lines should go? WW1 aircraft are always a challenge.
