Re: please help me i am after some reference material

I can help with some of that LAH...especially the F4U cockpit. I have a cut-away line drawing in a book that I can scan for you and I also have an old instruction sheet from an F4U detail set I once used. I'm pretty sure that post WW2 F4Us differed from the ones the US used during the war but not by much. My point is that all my references are WW2 period.
The cut-away is double A4 size so I can just scan in the cockpit area and post it here. Give me until tonight mate. I'm busy with two kids during the day. After say ten pm I'll try to get something happening for you.
Peace.

Here ya go. I don't have anything on the Spit but uploaded a bunch for the Corsair and Hellcat. Don't worry, the download is free .

Re: please help me i am after some reference material

Okay LAH...I had a dig around and here's what I found. I really hope it helps some but I suspect it may be less than satisfactory. The line drawing was my ace but it's not as detailed as I remember.

F4U Line.jpg

Keep in mind this line art is a WW2 era aircraft.

F4U 7.jpg

Info on this;
'Apart from the specialized and overloaded AU-1, the last model off the production line was the F4U-7 built for France's Aeronavale to fight in Indochina. It was basically an F4U-4 with the AU-1 airframe plus comprehensive avionics and navaids. This F4U-7 is pictured in the markings of Flottille 12F in Algeria.'
