Enlisted man's black Panzer overseas cap with rose pink soutache

A Panzer overseas cap with non-regulation color soutache applied to the front scallop and entire crown of the cap

Note that both of these cap are early, and the national eagle and rosette are on the green backed army color instead of black.

Re: Panzer Tunics

Panzer officer's M43 standard field cap. This example is made from is made from black tricot fabric rather than wool with standard aluminium cord piping and double aluminium buttons.

The M37 "old style" officer's billed cap with soft leather visor. this cap has golden yellow piping and a standard Bevo embroidered insignia.

Another M37 cap only this one piped in rose pink and the embroidered insignia replaced with one of flat wire.

Close up of the placement of the collar tab on the the second pattern Panzer field jacket.
Note the prewar high quality wool piping on both the tab and collar and retention of regimental numbers on the straps.

Re: Panzer Tunics

The actual Panzer uniform wore by Hauptmann Günter Schmitz and on permanent display at the Engineer Museum of the Bundeswehr in Munich.

All insignia have been hand sewn to the uniform by the company tailor.

Officers of the Panzerpionier-Battalion 16 who wore the black Panzer uniform did not wear the black and silver twist cord piping on their shoulder boards. The national eagle is silver wire bullion on dark green backing and the overseas cap has a soutache on standard black branch color.
