Do any of the forum members have information on the deployment of Mexican troops in the war? The WW 2 database lists 14,000 servicemen sent. With the industrial base that they had ,this was a big contribution. I heard of A fighter squadron that fought in the Pilippines campaign. Where did the rest of their troops serve.

Most of the participation was in the Pacific air war if I recall correctly (the Aztec Eagles). You can find some more info at Mexico - Forgotten World War II Ally and at Latinos & WWII.

There was also the Bracero Program which brought Mexican workers into the US to help with the war effort, as well as conscription into the US Army of Mexican nationals permanently residing in the US.
