That feels a little bit strange to me. I knew that there was something like that but I haven't seen a picture before. Imagine America teaming up with the third Reich... That would be a good start for a science-fiction novel.

Do you know the origin of that phto Klaus?

It was published in the "Life" magazine. 7 March 1938 Nr. 17.

Far from science fiction Klaus, this is a picture of German American Bundists. The German American Bund was active in the thirties and was headed by Fritz Kuhn. I don't think it ever amounted to much, Kuhn was later convicted of tax evasion and sent to prison.

Nazi Party spinoffs and "neo-Nazi Groups" still exist in America.

As for the Bundists themselves, I think many were interned during the war and some deported afterwards if they were not citizens.
