Re: Name That Weapon

That's my Johnson!

I mean, that's the Johnson LMG. Supposed to be a good weapon, but not entirely suitable for jungle warfare, IIRC.

Re: Name That Weapon

Hey guys, this is not really a "quiz", but more so asking for help:

WW2DB: [Photo] African-American US Marine Corps Corporal Arvin Lou Ghazlo giving judo instructions to Private Ernest C. Jones, Montford Point Camp, North Carolina, United States, Apr 1943

The rifle seen in the photo is a M1 Garand rifle, right?

Thanks guys

Re: Name That Weapon

I will say YES as I actually Googled it and went through a load of pics to verify. Seriously, I did.
Don't ask me what model as I didn't go that far HAHA.

Re: Name That Weapon

I'm no small arms ID expert (actually I'm pretty bad at it)... so thanks for trying for me

Could it possibly be an Enfield rifle, though? I know many of them were issued for training purposes, and training is exactly what the picture is of...

Re: Name That Weapon

Damn, I won!

Okay, I'm at work right now. I'm going to have to find something suitable, then figure out how to get it to show up here.

It's already been 12 hours or more. If someone else wants to go for it, they can.
