I believe the US could of and would of equiped the Allied Armies. They were mass producing equipment that far outstripped everyone.
They had so much gear that it was more efficient to leave aircraft and tanks on Pacific Islands than to move them to the next attack. If a major battle was coming in Europe then I assume they would of brought all of this "excess" gear to the fight. Let us not forget that the Allies would of also used their new "allies", Japan to mount a two pronged attack too. Japan lost home islands to Russia so they had some issues to settle too. Global war on a scale that would of made WWII pale by comparison.
