...Let's be careful about the very term 'PC'. People seem to think it's some kind of gag or even a violation of one's right to free speech. It's not. It's like politeness. I had a profound 'penny drop' moment as a kid when somebody told me that being polite wasn't actually about 'controlling' me or 'manipulating' me, it's about putting others at ease when they're in my company. PC is exactly the same. PC, when not utterly hijacked by people is a good thing...

If anyone has ever wondered why I respect Nick so much, just read above.

"proper decorum and respect when dealing with other people"

Man, that line sums it up for me.

I have never liked the label PC. When you stop to think about it, what the hell does "Politically Correct" even mean? That you belong to right party? That you keep your elbows off the table during political discussions? That it is uncouth to fart in a voting booth?

Why can't we just call it what it is: "proper decorum and respect when dealing with other people?"

So long as common sense is employed. For heaven's sake, I'm short, not vertically challenged.

Re: Political Correctness

Thanks Paul.

'PC' is just a marketing/media term and I think it's silly too. People get busy taking themselves way too seriously.
Peace.
