Regarding chopstics - Klaus's favourite weapon - I'm sorry, my apology, but I hate them. I learned how to use them and can do it - but I really hate them...

I used to work for a while in Japan about 10 years ago. I had with me Australian army kit - fork and spoon, and I used it even in good upmarket Japanese restaurants. Waiters looked at me like on barbarian, monkey from Europe... big monkey without any manners...

During my stay, the team of four Canadians arrived. One of them was like me - he hated chopsticks. I had spare mess kit and gave it to him.
I left earlier then them - they stayed 3 weeks more - I'm still getting his mails for Xmas - Bill remember that he would die without my modest gift.

(But I love occasional good quality Chinese meal, not Australian or American Chinese - Chinese Chinese meal in good restaurant, where they respect my wish and always give me proper cutlery).
