Post Partisans in Karelia

As I haven't gotten to this area of my research yet (I'm trying to write a book about 6.SS-Nord), I'm going to ask if anyone has information to share.

I've heard about some pretty ruthless partisan attacks in the Karelian area. These would be individuals from the Russian side attacking not only the German and Finnish military, but civilians as well. I don't suppose there's anybody out there who may have been related to some of these people?

I'd like to get solid information, but anecdotal information from relatives would help, too.

TIA!

I hope this will help. It is not much but it is a start.

Thumbs up Re: Partisans in Karelia

Danke, Klaus!

I had already seen two of them, and I try to avoid the Wiki site if I can. Personal preference I suppose.

I had to laugh, though, at the Nord site you sent. Although I don't have my kit, I actually belong to that unit! As for the essay on the history of Nord, I wrote it! At least I know somebody's paying attention to it!

Re: Partisans in Karelia

I dont't like Wikipedia that much my self. But it gives you a good overall look on things. So you are a member of 6th SS-Nord. Sorry for sending you your only material. But I hope you could use it.

I'll keep on looking though. It cought my interest.

Kevin, just visit 6.SS.NORD and go to the history page. I did the maps, too!

Tom,

Can you do something about the text coloring on that history page?

Jim, just between you me and the lamppost, I tried to get him to change the text color, and the paragraph justification. He likes it that way, so that's the way it be!

Hey, I used contrasting colors on the maps!

Yeah, the maps are nice, and easy on the eye. I guess you have to pick your battles.
